Hi. This is Darren Curtis. Founder and director of Accurate Curtis, the carpentry and property refurbishment company based in Watford, UK and established in September 2003.

I’m originally a carpenter by trade with over 21 years of experience in property improvement refurbishment.

I formed the business as a sole trader with carpentry as the main discipline, fitting doors – skirting – fitted bedrooms – custom-fitted furniture – decking – flooring – stair balustrades – staircases – door linings and roofs.

The next stage of my company came with specialising in the supply and fitting of kitchens, offering the customer the complete service covering all trades required in completing a fully fitted kitchen solution.

As a natural progression and with the partner contractor team that I had built up, I began to offer a bathroom fitting service plus supplying of bathroom materials. In Denmark, I was trained in wet-room and tanking methods, under the masterful eye of Brian who heads up the major manufacturer company LIP. This lead to me beginning my first installations of wet rooms when I returned from the course.

With my acquired knowledge, along with an additional course set up by Impey (one of the UK’s leading British companies in wet-room design), I became a retailer and registered installer.
